These are a few of the tributes that have poured in on Twitter since Nigerian pop star, Goldie Harvey passed on. The 31 year old star died on the evening of Valentine’s day…minutes after she returned from the United States where she attended the Grammys.

Kelvin Okafor is a 27 year old Fine Art graduate from Middlesex University, UK who is rapidly gaining fame and recognition like the celebrities he sketches.
His subjects include popular music artists such as Tinie Tempah, James Morrison , Adele, Beyonce and Rihanna. He has also drawn emotive sketches of late Singer Amy Winehouse, Mother Teresa, Heath Ledger and Princess Diana.
The Nigerian-born artist fron Tottenham, North London has now scooped national awards and is exhibiting across the UK.
At first glance, his sketches look like beautifully shot, soft focus digital photographs. In fact, each one is an incredibly detailed pencil drawing , which Okafor says takes him up to 100 hours to complete.
Mr Okafor begins with the eyes of the subject when he creating his realistic sketches which transforms into an astonishing realism. He uses a simple pencil because according to him “it is ‘humble’ and allows a subject to shine.” He tries to inspire emotion in the viewer with vivid portraits.
He creates each piece only in black and white – using graphite pencils, charcoal, black coloured pencil and sometimes grey pastels. Yet he believes that the range of tone, shade and texture is almost endless. He draws on a combination of life and photographs, working on his art for up to 15 hours a day.

“I want my drawings to prompt an emotional response, making viewers feel as though they are looking at a real live subject. ‘The attention I’m receiving is surreal and hasn’t really sunk in yet. I’m usually sheltered from it in my studio as I continue to build my portfolio, but I’m really humbled and honoured that so many people appreciate my work. I hope to have my own gallery in the future.”
His pieces are now selling for on average £8,000-£10,000, depending on the scale.
He has now had more than 50 commissions, and the dedicated artist cites his role models as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo – because they not only mastered the arts but branched out into other fields including engineering, poetry, science and maths.
Kelvin Okafor should have been the one commissioned to sketch the Duchess of Cambridge…instead of that shabby painting that was made of her. Just saying!
Congratulations, Kelvin! You have made your country and people proud.

A rep from Bel Bambini… a celeb-magnet baby shop in West Hollywood sent Kim a gift card for $1,000 the second they heard she was knocked up.
Not only that, Bel Bambini offered to give Kim K more goods to outfit her nursery … just like it did for Kate Middleton’s foetus.
Meanwhile, Kim who said she had no idea that her boyfriend Kanye West would announce out of the blues that they were expecting a baby has decided that the birth of her baby would not be part of her reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Kim and Kanye said yesterday that their baby would not be a reality star and the birth process would not be recorded and air on Kim’s family’s reality show.
Well that is left to be seen, because we all know that Kim loves attention.
Even as she was in total shock from Kanye’s surprise announcement, the 32 year old reality star didn’t seem to mind the surprise as she reportedly cried tears of joy and was especially moved because he did it during one of her fave songs … “Lost in the World.” Sources said Kanye was moved to blab on stage because Kim’s BFF and her mom were at the show — along with several of Kanye’s family members.
Hmmm…I hope Kimye are not planning to hoard their baby like Beyonce and Jigga are hoarding Blue Ivy!

I really don’t get why Beyonce and Jay Z are hoarding photos of their daughter Blue Ivy.
Before long, when Blue Ivy’s photos are eventually seen, haters would definitely say she ain’t all of that.
I am no hater and love babies to bits, but I’m starting too get that “She ain’t all of that feeling” myself.
All babies are special…some shouldn’t be made to feel more superior than others.
I’m just saying. *shrugs*

Trouble started on New Year’s Eve after Kim posted a photo of herself with her best friend Brittny Gastineau enjoying New Year’s Eve in a Las Vegas nightclub.
Commenters on Twitter blasted her. One user called her a “no fit mother,” another called her “fat”, adding “lose some weight”…another said Kim was ”busted and old news’”and another accused her of being ‘f****** up’ to her baby.
A furious Kris Jenner, Kris, who was with her daughter that night, launched a counter attack on Wednesday, starting with a tweet she reposted on her Facebook page:
Over a 100,000 Kardashian fans liked the comment, and hundreds commented their approval beneath.
Kris later explained that while she didn’t originally write the tweet, she shared the sentiments. Kris then responded with two posts on Thursday, clarifying the origin of the wild remark.
“I just wanna say that I didn’t write the status about Kim K pregnant, u hoes be 16.. blah blah!’ she wrote. She continued: ‘Ugh!! I’m not like that… and… Never thought I would do such a big impact with it!’

The were holidayed together on a yacht in St Barts, and were spotted sharing an intimate moment together on New Year’s Eve. The 25-year-old model was seen leaning into Dorsey, 36, and whispering something in his ear as he threw a party on Monday night.
And while finances have shown Twitter is losing millions, it appears Dorsey was still able to splash out on a few luxuries for his high-profile guests.
Dorsey, whose personal wealth is estimated at $1.1billion, was pictured with Cole and other famous faces on a luxury yacht which is costing him a staggering $240,000 for a week.

P Diddy is the richest star in hip hop. Forbes magazine puts his worth at $550million. But, as Diddy found out yesterday, it takes more than a yacht and a few mansions to impress the beauties of St Barts.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, 43, was spotted scratching his head in apparent surprise as a whole row of sunbathing beauties ignored the star strolling past on the on the beach in Gustavia, St Barts on the Caribbean isle.
The women, in their teens and twenties, lay in a row, showing off their figures in an array of brightly coloured bikinis. But rather than being excited about the celebrity walking close to their towels, they simply yawned and continued to tan. Their reaction seemed to leave Diddy bemused.
After walking as close to the girls as politely possible – at least without actually hopping onto their towels – he appeared to give up and turned back the way he came.
Of course it may not be that Diddy’s star has faded – most of the beauties seemed to be resting their eyes, if not asleep.

By the way, Adamz thought nobody survived the 2005 Sosoliso Plane Crash. Adamz, immediately after the crash, seven survivors were recovered and taken to hospitals, but four of those survivors died in hospital care, leaving three survivors; two of whom were flown to South Africa. In the end, two people survived; one of which was Miss Kechi Okwuchi whom I reported about on my blog.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan has just released their 2012 family Christmas card. It has now become an annual tradition for them.

This year included two new members – Kourtney’s daughter Penelope and Kim’s tragic kitten Mercy whose hair perfectly fits the all-white theme.
Sadly since the card was shot the kitten has been put down after the four-month-old was discovered to have a virus that had attacked her internal organs.
As a guest on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show last month, Khloe had revealed that she and husband Lamar Odom, missed the photoshoot for the card and had to be added in later with the help of Photoshop.
Their 2012 family Christmas card was shot by photographer, Nick Saglimbeni.
Kendall sure stole the show this year!

Veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, was spotted at the recording of the popular TV game show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ over the weekend.
The talented actress who has been battiling a kidney related disease, was a guest player of the game show which was recorded on Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Lagos.
She was on the show for a special edition to raise money for her treatment by playing the game to win on the TV game show with the help of two other guest players invited for the purpose.
At the end of the show, she went home with N1million naira as the prize money won on the show.
Wishing our darling actress a speedy recovery and praying for her healing.
I brought you the news earlier that Opa Williams, the producer of the live comedy show “Night Of A Thousand Laughs” had indicated on his Facebook page that he was on his way to India for a surgical operation for an unknown illness.
This came shortly after veteran actor, Enebeli Elebuwa passed on at an Indian hospital.
Well, here he is posing with his team of doctors at the Indian hospital. He seems to be in good condition.
It is believed that the surgery went well.
Thank God for that.

Reality star, Kim Kardashian was spotted wearing these not-so-flattering outfits this week.
Pepsi has announced a multi-year collaboration with Beyonce. The deal also includes a limited edition Pepsi can featuring Beyonce’s face.
But this is a collaboration with a twist. Rather than just featuring Beyonce in their ads, the company is allowing Bey to use some of the $50 million in funding to support her own chosen projects, like her upcoming album set to be released in 2013.
Beyonce commented on the collaboration:
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve. As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
According to The New York Times, the Pepsi promos will start as soon as she steps off that Super Bowl stage.
The campaign will coincide with a blitz of promotion for her next album, which has no title or release date so far but is expected in 2013. Sometime after she performs at the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 3 (also sponsored by Pepsi), Beyoncé will appear in a new TV ad — her fifth for the soft drink since 2002 — and her face will be on a limited-edition line of soda cans.

You can see the little boy lifting up his slate on which he wrote: “Will you please marry me auntie Tonto. I love you very much” in the best way his 5 year old head could spell.
I’m going to say this once and only once…a five year old boy proposing marriage to Tonto Dikeh is NOT COOL!!!
As a Mom, I do not subscribe to this; and shame on his parents for putting this innocent boy up to this.
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh is a multi talented artiste whose entertainment prowess I deeply respect. In my opinion, Tonto provides quality entertainment for ADULTS only. Kids this boy’s age should be concentrating on reading their books, watching cartoons or playing in the park…not watching Nigerian films and getting “hi” on Tonto’s music.
I’m just saying!

Nollywood actresses Uche Jombo and Tonto Dikeh were recently hosted by E-Rave Club while on a media tour for the movie ‘My Life, My Damage’. The event had several celebs in attendance and was hosted by MC Abbey.
Tonto plays a starring role in this latest movie produced by Uche Jombo which is the newest addition to her “Damage” franchise. “My Life My Damage” is a story which centers round a misguided young woman who falls into the death-trap of drug addiction.
Industry watchers declare that this is Tonto strongest on-screen performance yet…way to go girl!
As usual, the stylish ladies caught my eye…having fun with E-Rave and the movie production crew on Thursday 29th November 2012 at Club Rumors, Ikeja, G.R.A, Lagos.

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant.
Catherine Middleton, 30, and her husband Prince William, also 30, have been at the centre of a pregnancy riddle for several weeks.
The couple have now confirmed they are expecting a baby, choosing to make the announcement on their office website.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby,” the statement on dukeandduchessofcambridge.org read.
The message added that William’s father Prince Charles and his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II are thrilled with the news.
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news,” it continued.
Although it is not known how far along in the pregnancy Catherine is, it has been confirmed that she has been suffering from “very acute morning sickness”. The condition is known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum and due to it Catherine is seeking medical attention.
“The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter,” the statement read.
Catherine sparked speculation she was with child after she was spotted with a small baby bump while at an event in London last week.

Mercy looks like she may put to bed anytime soon though-and don’t ask me who the baby she’s posing with belongs to!

Terri Graham,is a mother of two who did not breastfeed her children. But now she’s decided to fulfill her maternal desire in a most bizarre manner — by breastfeeding her 9-year-old daughter’s dog, a pug named Spider.
In an interview published in the Oct. 20 U.K. edition of Closer magazine, 44 year old Graham, said that she knows some people might consider her a “freak,” but insisted that her breastfeeding nourishes the dog, and makes her feel like a better mom.
She said, “Having Spider suckle on my boob means I finally feel complete and a better mother.”
Graham, who is from California, claimed that the dog developed a taste for breast milk in 2010 after licking the nipple of a bottle she had pumped for her then-newborn son. She says she has breastfed the dog for about 2 years.
A psychologist interviewed for the magazine piece suggested that Graham seek therapy.

It was Wyclef Jean’s 43rd Birthday on Wednesday and I shared with you a photo Wyclef tweeted of himself posing on his motor cycle and wearing only briefs.
You can imagine my amusement when I stumbled upon the photo-shopped version of this photo two days later on zimbio.com.

With this move, Kutcher has taken Charlie Sheen’s crown as the highest paid TV actor. Charlie failed to make the top 10, despite topping the list last year with $40 million. Look at Forbes list below:
